bubbles

Unfortunately I didn't get a better picture of the bubbles. But this picture was requested, and I hate the picture upload function in Facebook – it makes Firefox crash and I have too many windows and tabs open at the moment – so here it is. Also, blogspot doesn't shrink the images.

fb blog import f-kup

-grrrr- I hate that some stuff isn't included when Facebook imports blog posts. None of my videos are included and that makes some of my posts look pretty weird. And I don't always remember to comment that or include a link to the video under it.

Ah well, one of the good things is that my cold is starting to release it's gruesome hold of me. I actually feel better, but I have to take it easy or I will probably just get sick straight away. Also, the sun managed to peak out, from behind the massive barrier of grey clouds, earlier today to spread it's beautiful golden rays over our wet world. And I got a call that might result in a job for the summer. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

go go noah!

Days like this, I'm happy that our house is built on top of a large hill. Some days I'm annoyed that I have to walk up the long slope, but after these last few days – of almost non-stop raining – I'm pretty glad. I've been sick all this week, so I've been bunked down on my couch underneath two blankets, hearing the constant rain on my window and doing nothing but being bored out of my mind in front of the first three seasons of Alias. Don't get me wrong I actually like Alias, but when I'm sick I need fluff.

I need "fluffy" movies and series that doesn't really mean anything and where it doesn't matter if I fall asleep or not – something I've done quite a lot these last few days. Movies that leave me with a happy feeling and doesn't leave any trace of actual thought.

Unfortunately I haven't got any "new" fluff at home right now. And I don't have any old that I really want to see again – at least not right now. I lent my Coupling dvd-box to my sister and Firefly is out as well. I have quite a lot of Scrubs, but I don't know. Feels like I've seen it too many times. I know that's not supposed to be possible, but... apparently it is.

It's times like this that miss my "downloading days". I stopped downloading stuff more than three years ago and my media hard drive has crashed since then.

Ah well, I guess I'll have to be content with Alias and the sound of the rain constantly pounding on my roof. Even though it leaves me feeling like the world is slowly drowning.

I hate being sick!

tiny tent, huge mattress

Here's a picture and a video of some people from the spex putting up their tent in Björnlunda. I wonder if they realized just how tiny the tent was when they bought it and how big the mattress was...

It kinda looked like the mattress could eat up the tent, not the other way around. But it did work. It was tight, and it looked hilarious, but it really did work. Not much room for their bags though. Thankfully it didn't rain that much during the night.

the tour to marfan

The tour with Kårspexet to Mariefred was pretty fun. It was a bit strange, but I enjoyed it anyways.

I got to bed a bit later then I'd planned the night before, but I'd set three alarm clocks, so I thought I'd be safe. I wasn't! Magnus rang me three quarters of an hour after we were supposed to meet outside the union house and wondered where I was hiding. I have no memories of any of the alarms going off, except for a vague memory of birdsong.

Thankfully Jeppe, who was going by car, was able to pick me up. He's an angel! I'm so glad I didn't have to take the train. It was a panicky start to the day and the adrenaline stayed with me for quite a while. I didn't really wind down until after the show was over.

SMHI, our wonderful weather service, predicted a cold day and no rain. They were wrong! We actually had a bit of sun in the morning, but that turned into rain right about the time we were supposed to start the show. We decided to go on anyway and managed to get through it alive though a little wet and bedraggled.

The really amazing thing about the day was the audience. They sat out there in the middle of the square in the rain and watched it all. Sure the audience was smaller in the last act, but they were wonderful and seemed in a pretty good mood, despite the cold and damp.

A wet audience.[A wet audience.]

And I love all our actors for going on out on that slippery stage and keeping their spirits up through that weird situation. They did a wickedly awesome job! You guys rock!

The following dinner in Björnlunda was thankfully indoors in the barn. And I spent the rest of the party mainly on the barn dance floor or by the barbecue out in the parking lot.

One of the positive things with the cold and rain was the lack of mosquitoes. Those small buggers usually pest us all night. But this time, for understandable reasons, they stayed far away.

Somehow I didn't feel very tired at all and stayed up pretty late. It might have been me unconsciously fearing the cold and not looking forward to sleeping in a tent. But I don't know. It wasn't really that cold when I finally got into my sleeping bag.

Too early of a wake-up as usual and I slept for most of the trip home, but all in all a pretty nice tour. Except, of course, that my cold is back with a grudge.

whining ftw

It's been such a long while since I had a cold that didn't want to let go, that I totally forgot how irritating it is. I haven't been able to exercise properly for almost two weeks now and I hate it. My nose and lips are chapped and I have no strength for anything. Just walking up the stairs from the kitchen is so tiresome that I don't feel like getting lunch...

I know that I need to, and I will do it, but just not right now. I need to gather some strength before I do an attempt. *drama queen*

I guess I would have been fine if not for Kårspexets tour to Mariefred and the following party and camping in Björnlunda. It was loads of fun, but a whole day out in the cold and damp and a night in a tent, did nothing good for my state of health. So in a way it's my own fault, but that doesn't stop me from bitching about it.

sand art
